Privacy Policy

OfficeForMacs.com ("we," "us") is an independent publisher. This policy explains what we collect when you visit, why, and the choices you have. The short version: we run analytics, our outbound retailer links involve affiliate tracking by those retailers, and we only get your email address if you give it to us.

What we collect

• Analytics (Google Analytics 4). Standard usage data: pages viewed, approximate location (city level), device and browser type, and how you arrived. We use it to understand what content helps readers. GA4 sets cookies; we do not sell this data or use it for our own advertising.
• Affiliate click data. Outbound retailer links route through our /recommends/ URLs so we can count clicks (page and link, not who you are). When you land on a retailer's site through an affiliate link, that retailer or its affiliate network may set cookies to attribute a purchase to us. Their privacy policies govern that tracking.
• Email list (optional). If you sign up for price alerts, we store the email address you provide with our email provider (Kit). Every email includes an unsubscribe link; unsubscribing removes you promptly. We never share or sell the list.
• Email you send us. If you write to contact@officeformacs.com, we keep the correspondence as long as needed to handle it.

What we don't do

• No selling or renting of personal information.
• No third-party ad networks and no retargeting pixels.
• No accounts, no profiles, nothing to breach beyond the items above.

Cookies and your choices

Cookies on this site come from Google Analytics; cookies after you click out to a retailer come from that retailer or its network. You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings, use private browsing, or enable Global Privacy Control. The site works fine without cookies. Affiliate links are always disclosed and never required: you can reach any product by searching the retailer directly.

This site uses affiliate links, and the retailers and networks behind them may set cookies to attribute purchases. For details on our affiliate relationships, see our Affiliate Disclosure.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under the CCPA and GDPR), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information. For anything covered above (typically your email-list entry or correspondence), email contact@officeformacs.com and we'll handle it within 30 days. For analytics and retailer cookies, the controllers are Google and the respective retailers; we'll point you to the right place if you ask.

Children

This site is general-audience buying advice and not directed at children under 13; we don't knowingly collect their information.

We'll post any changes here with an updated date. Material changes get a note on the homepage.
